BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER

We are excited to announce the founding of City on a Hill Behavioral Health Center, a newly established, faith-based counseling center started by Real Life Ministries in Northern Idaho.

Founded in 2024, we are embarking on an exciting new venture with a bold mission: to improve the mental health and wellness of our community by offering accessible, affordable, and Biblically-integrated evidence based treatment.

We will be employing Licensed Professional Counselors, and opening in Fall of 2025.

Our Team.

  • Mike Wraith- Executive Director

    Mike Wraith is an experienced behavioral health leader with over 20 years of expertise in clinical practice, program development, and systems-level leadership. He most recently served as Bureau Chief for the Center of Excellence within Idaho’s Division of Behavioral Health, where he led statewide initiatives like the Region 1 Mobile Response Team and the CIT Collaborative.

    A licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University, Michael is now bringing his leadership and faith-driven vision to his new role as Executive Director at City on a Hill Behavioral Health Center.

  • Joe Mitrovich- Clinical Director

    Dr. Joe Mitrovich is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience, specializing in primary care, oncology, forensic, and military medicine. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Indiana State University and has served in roles including Primary Care Mental Health Integration Psychologist at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center and Consulting Psychologist at MultiCare Regional Cancer Center.

    Now Clinical Director at City on a Hill, Dr. Mitrovich is dedicated to providing Christ-centered care, bringing healing, restoration, and hope to those in need.

  • Alisha Kreissig - Office Manager

    Alisha is passionate about creating a welcoming and empowering environment for all who walk in to City on a Hill. She is known for making individuals feel seen, heard, and genuinely understood, ensuring every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism from the moment they arrive. Alisha thrives at overseeing daily operations, supporting the clinical team, and building a culture of inspiration, collaboration, and fun!

    Her strong interpersonal skills, organization, and dedication to faith drives her to lead with warmth and enthusiasm. Her presence helps ensure the office reflects care and professionalism that defines the entire team.

  • Courtney Edmonson- Physician

    PsyD, earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University and her master’s degree in Theological Studies from Westminister Theological Seminary. She received a specialty in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she also received additional training in neuropsychological and psychological assessment. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in Idaho in Utah and currently provides counseling for PTSD as well as neuropsychological/psychological assessments for intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, attention or memory concerns, head injuries, etc across the lifespan. 

  • Christy Jo Crowley

    Christy Jo Crowley- Physician

    Christy Jo is a Licensed Master Social Worker & Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner, with over 25 years working in schools, justice systems, public-service, and clinical settings. Starting in human services studies directly out of high school, she set out on a career path intentional about helping others. Life shifted and her focus became her family and raising kids. Birthing 2 kids and adopting 3, she had a lot of opportunity to learn about human development, trauma-informed implementation, and how humans can thrive. Diving back into college, she finished her master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. Her unique journey has blended experiential components with clinical licensure. In her clinical work, she uses a combination of PolyVagal Theory, Adventure Therapy, IFS skills, ACT principles, EMDR, CBT and DBT. Trauma recovery work and resiliency building is key for her. She works well with individuals of all ages who are overcoming traumatic events and desire to build resiliency through processing what was, accepting what is, and cultivating beauty with what could be. Some issues she is experienced in working with are anxiety, depression, difficulty with life transitions, C-PTSD, PTSD, trauma disorders, eating disorders, self-harm, abuse recovery, foster youth, and sexual abuse survivors.

  • Ilina Renkema

    Ilina Renkema is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. Her passion is working with children, youth and families as she believes in early intervention, and the importance of preserving the family unit. She has worked in multiple clinical settings including community mental health, schools, residential treatment centers, and group practice. Ilina received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Washington and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Seattle University. Ilina utilizes evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Play therapy. Sheworks with clients across the lifespan and has experience with presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, major life changes, emotion regulation, parenting, and relationship struggles. Ilina’s practice is grounded in both strong clinical skills and her Christian faith that aligns with the Bible. Ilina compassionately works with clients to build upon their strengths, gain deeper insight, and create positive and lasting changes. She creates a safe space where individuals and families can work through life challenges, heal from painful experiences,and grow as they find clarity, healing and hope.
